Dog daycare for Westbury and Willow Meadows neighbors

A fenced backyard is great, but it's not the same as a playmate. If you live in Westbury or Willow Meadows, your dog may have a yard, shade trees and a window to watch the street, and still spend most of the day bored and waiting. Dog daycare in Westbury and Willow Meadows doesn't mean a commute across Houston. Pawliday Inn is on Cedarhurst Dr, in this same corner of southwest Houston, so a full day of play can fit into the errands and drop-offs you already make.

Dog daycare in Westbury and Willow Meadows: why a yard isn't the whole answer

These are established neighborhoods, mostly single-story ranch homes on tree-lined streets, many with fenced backyards. That's a real plus for dogs. But most dogs left alone in a yard don't exercise much. They patrol the fence, bark at squirrels and passersby, nap in the shade, and wait for someone to come home.

What a yard usually can't offer:

And during long workdays, a yard dog often turns into a fence-barker, a digger, or a gate-escape artist. Daycare gives that energy somewhere better to go.

Who uses daycare in our neighborhood

Westbury and Willow Meadows have a mix of households. Some patterns we hear from neighbors:

Working families with a young dog

A puppy or adolescent dog who's alone while parents work and kids are at school can be a handful by evening. A couple of daycare days a week can make the whole household calmer. If your dog is still a puppy, read when a puppy can start daycare.

Work-from-home neighbors

Working from home doesn't always mean having time for your dog. Daycare on your busiest meeting days means fewer barking interruptions on calls and a tired, happy dog at dinnertime.

Long-time residents with an older dog

Many owners here have been on the same street for years. An older dog may not need high-energy play, but some still enjoy company and gentle activity. Our play yards are separated by energy level, so a calm senior isn't thrown in with rowdy teenagers.

How a daycare day works

Every new dog starts with a free meet and greet, so we can get to know your dog and your dog can get to know us. Then:

When What happens
7:00 to 10:00 a.m. Check-in
Through the day Outdoor play by energy level, rest time and snack breaks
4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Check-out

On Saturdays we're open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pick-up after 6:30 p.m. on weekdays carries a late fee.

Optional add-ons include a short walk, an extra meal or an enrichment treat. For a deeper look at our program, see dog daycare in Houston. If it's your dog's first time, your dog's first day of daycare walks you through what to expect.

Close to home makes it easy

Being nearby matters more than it sounds. When daycare is a short drive, it's realistic to use it regularly instead of only on special occasions. Most neighbors reach Cedarhurst Dr using local streets or Fondren and Hillcroft. Look for the larger-than-life dog mural on our building.

Because we also offer boarding, your dog's daycare spot can become a familiar place to stay when you travel. Neighbors planning a trip can read about dog boarding for Westbury and Willow Meadows.

Frequently asked questions

My dog has a big backyard. Do they really need daycare?

Not every dog does. But many yard dogs still get bored, bark or dig when left alone. If your dog enjoys other dogs and seems restless, daycare can be a good addition. The free meet and greet is a low-pressure way to find out.

Can my senior dog come to daycare?

Many older dogs enjoy daycare, and our play yards are separated by energy level. Talk with your vet about any health limits, and tell us about them at the meet and greet.

What time can I drop off and pick up?

Check-in is 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., and check-out is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Do you watch cats?

No. Pawliday Inn is for dogs only.
