A lot of Missouri City households already spend part of every weekday heading northeast into Houston. If you're looking for dog boarding near Missouri City, Pawliday Inn sits in southwest Houston on Cedarhurst Dr, so many Fort Bend commuters can drop their dog off on a route they already know. Your dog gets a staffed overnight stay with meals, potty breaks and yard play while you travel.
Why Missouri City families board in southwest Houston
Missouri City is a suburb, and life there looks different from life inside the Loop. That changes what people need from boarding.
Your commute already points this way
Many Missouri City residents work in Houston, whether in the Texas Medical Center, the Galleria area, Greenway Plaza or downtown. If that's you, dropping your dog off the morning you leave, or picking them up on the drive home after a trip, can fit into a normal commute instead of becoming a separate errand.
Bigger yards, bigger dogs, bigger routines
Suburban lots in neighborhoods like Quail Valley, Lake Olympia and Sienna often come with fenced backyards, and plenty of families there have larger, active dogs used to running around outside. A dog like that doesn't do well cooped up inside with a neighbor stopping by twice a day. Boarding with daily yard play keeps a routine closer to what they have at home.
Family travel on school calendars
Many Fort Bend families travel around school breaks: Thanksgiving, winter break, spring break and summer. Those dates fill up fast everywhere. Holiday stays also have their own deposit and cancellation rules, so read our guide to booking holiday dog boarding early before you lock in flights.
What dog boarding near Missouri City includes
Every overnight guest at Pawliday Inn gets the same care:
- Staff on site 24/7
- Breakfast and dinner
- Three scheduled potty breaks a day, separate from daycare
- Free yard play
- A small, medium or large kennel, depending on your dog's size
Optional add-ons include walks, basic baths and extra meals. A basic bath before pick-up is a nice way to bring home a clean dog after a long stay.
We encourage you to bring your dog's own food, toys and blankets. Familiar food helps avoid upset stomachs, and familiar smells help dogs settle at night. Our packing list for dog boarding walks through the rest. For the full picture of our overnight care, see dog boarding in Houston.
Getting to Pawliday Inn from Missouri City
Pawliday Inn is northeast of Missouri City, in southwest Houston near Westbury, Willow Meadows and Brays Oaks. Many drivers come up US-90A (South Main) toward Houston, then turn north onto one of the main north-south roads in our area, such as Fondren or Hillcroft. Others come in from the Beltway side. Use whichever route your map app suggests for the time of day.
When you get close, look for the larger-than-life pup painted on our building at 11206 Cedarhurst Dr.
Plan around rush hour
US-90A and the main roads into southwest Houston can back up at rush hour, and a rainy afternoon makes it worse. If you're picking up on a weekday, give yourself a buffer. Pick-up after 6:30 p.m. has a late fee.
Hours
Boarding is available seven days a week. Drop-off and pick-up happen during our hours:
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Friday | 7:00 am to 6:30 pm |
| Saturday | 9:00 am to 4:30 pm |
| Sunday | By appointment |
If you're flying home on a Sunday, call us at (346) 522 4472 to set a pick-up time.
Weekend trips and longer stays
Not every trip is a two-week vacation. A Galveston weekend or a wedding in Austin might only be a couple of nights. Weekend boarding has a two-night minimum. Our weekend dog boarding page explains how to plan a short getaway around it.
If you board often, prepaid night packages are available. See current rates on our homepage.
Booking and requirements
You can book online. A card on file is required, and boarding reservations take a deposit with the balance due at pick-up.
- Standard stays: cancel more than 48 hours ahead for a deposit refund.
- Holiday stays: a longer seven-day cancellation window, with a deposit for the full stay.
- Weekends: two-night minimum.
Every dog needs current Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, plus regular flea, tick and intestinal parasite prevention. Please tell us about any known behavior, such as aggression, fearfulness, resource guarding, separation anxiety, escape tendencies, or prior bites or injuries. A dog used to a big backyard may test a new fence, so escape history matters. We may refuse service to dogs that don't meet requirements or show signs of illness. Full details are on our policies page.
