When you leave town, the hardest part is often not the packing or the flight. It is wondering how your dog is doing tonight. Pawliday Inn offers dog boarding in Houston for exactly that worry: our building on Cedarhurst Dr in southwest Houston is staffed 24/7, and every overnight guest gets regular meals, scheduled potty breaks and time in the yard. This page walks through what a stay looks like, what to bring and how booking works.
What dog boarding in Houston looks like at Pawliday Inn
Every boarding guest gets the same core care, whether they stay one night or many:
- Staff on site 24/7. Someone is in the building around the clock, not just during business hours.
- Breakfast and dinner. Two meals a day, on a predictable schedule.
- Three scheduled potty breaks. These are separate from daycare, so your dog gets their own dedicated trips outside.
- Free yard play. Boarding guests get yard time included, so a stay is not just hours in a kennel.
Dogs do best when their days have a rhythm. Regular meals, regular trips outside and a chance to stretch their legs help most dogs settle in quickly, even on their first night away from home.
Kennel sizes
We have small, medium and large kennels, so your dog gets a space that fits them. If you are not sure which size your dog needs, ask when you book and we will help you choose.
Optional add-ons
If you want a little extra for your dog during their stay, you can add:
- Walks
- Basic baths, so they come home fresh
- Extra meals
Add-ons are optional. The core stay already covers meals, potty breaks and yard play.
Bring a little bit of home
We encourage you to bring your dog's own food, toys and blankets. Staying on their usual food helps avoid an upset stomach from a sudden diet change, and a blanket that smells like home is a real comfort in a new place. Our guide on what to pack for dog boarding has a full checklist, including what to write down for our staff.

Vaccinations and prevention
To keep every guest healthy, all dogs need current Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, plus regular flea, tick and intestinal parasite prevention. If you are unsure what those vaccines are or where to find the records, our article on the vaccines dogs need for boarding and daycare explains each one.
We may refuse service to pets that do not meet these requirements or that show signs of illness or a contagious condition. That rule protects your dog as much as anyone else's.
Tell us about your dog
Please let us know about any known behavior, such as aggression, fearfulness, resource guarding, separation anxiety, escape tendencies, or past bites or injuries. This is not about turning dogs away. It helps our team plan how to care for your dog safely and comfortably.
Booking, deposits and pick up
Booking is online, and a card on file is required. Boarding reservations take a deposit, with the balance due at pick up.
